Eduardo Hugo Malásquez Maldonado, also known as the "Flaco" (born Lima, October 13, 1957), is a former Peruvian footballer. He belonged to the club Deportivo Municipal and played with the Peruvian national team. He is currently 53 years old and resides in Lima, Peru. Malasquez is also part of a soccer talk show on a popular local news station.

Wearing the shirt of the Deportivo Municipal, made his debut in the first division. You could switch Hugo Sotil and Germán Leguía. In 1981, Municipal won the Regional tournament, and it was the runner-up in the Metropolitan tournament. These and other achievements led the team to classifying for the Copa Libertadores, playing with Franco Navarro.
He signed with Universitario de Deportes in 1985. After playing for a year in Colombia, Eduardo rejoined Universitario for the 1987 season, the year they won the championship.
In the early 1980s, he imigrated abroad, to play for Deportivo Independiente of Medellin, Colombia, where he scored the stand-out "malasqueña". He then decided to return to his native Peru for two years. However, Malasquez soon returned to Medellin for a year, but later played in Peru again with Universitario.
Malasquez later signed with Atlas of Mexico, the team where he would retire in 1991. Since then, he has been a trainer for several clubs in Peru since the early 2000s.
At the age of 24, he was a member of the Peruvian national team which qualified for the FIFA World Cup 1982 in Spain. He had an outstanding performance in the team tour to Europe. Eduardo is often remembered together with Germán Leguía, in the team created by the Brazilian coach Elba of Padua. He scored the "Marinera" on Uruguay, an elegant play resulting the final score to be in favor of Peru.
He also showed his talent in the Copa América 1983, being one of the top scorers in the tournament. He participated in the play-offs for the FIFA World Cup 1986, which Peru did not qualify for. In 1987, he suffered a serious leg injury that left him out of the Copa América 1987, and in the long run, out of the Peruvian national team.
